If I skip the image in the gallery, it doesn’t show for the product image on the category page. (Which is why I added it twice)

I’m thinking small manual solution. What about choosing featured image and skip the image on gallery images.

Those functions come up with WooCommerce default gallery and functions. I don’t want to modify them manually and make more trouble on your site even if we had simple solution.
