I’ve been using Flatter for a client’s website since last year and it’s been great! However, recently we’ve finally been experiencing issues with the page builder when using Flatter. When editing, for example a text block, we can’t access the Visual tab in the editor. I’ve been thinking this might be a theme update issue (I mean, we haven’t updated since last year, so I wouldn’t be surprised), but I’m not sure how to go about updating the theme. We didn’t use a child theme for the install, so how do I go about updating the theme without risking the loss of all the customizations we’ve put in so far? I’ve done Google searches, but they’ve been general sorts of tutorials, so I wanted to see if there was a step-by-step for Flatter specifically.

I really don’t want to risk losing customizations since it’s for a client’s site. But at this point we can’t update their content, which is a pretty big deal. Any sort of guidance is appreciated!
